Hypericum is a shrubby, perennial herb with oblong to linear leaves that are covered with transparent oil glands that look like holes. Generally the part of the plant used is the aerial parts, including the flowers. It is also known as St John's Wort, Amber, Goatweed, Hardhay, Klamath Weed or Tipton Weed.
