PH is a scale that measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is. The scale ranges from 1 to 14 with 1 being very acidic and 14 very alkaline. When a solution is neither acid nor alkaline it has a pH of 7, which is called neutral. The higher your body's pH level the fewer toxins you're carrying around, which can result in a healthier, more energetic you. Over acidity is unfortunately very common today and can become very dangerous, weakening all body systems. It gives rise to an internal environment conducive to disease, as opposed to a pH-balanced environment, which allows normal body function. Normal body functioning is necessary for the body to resist disease. When your body is healthy, it maintains adequate alkaline reserves to meet emergency demands. When excess acids must be neutralized, our alkaline reserves are depleted, weakening the body. Acidosis is a disturbance in the normal Acid/Alkaline balance of the body where the acidity of the body fluids and tissues is abnormally high. It produces a low bodily pH. It occurs as a result of malfunctions of the body’s acid-base balancing mechanism.
